Social Commitment

The firm BALCELLS International Lawyers Group is aware of social problems affecting the XXI century society, devotes some time to participate on a voluntary and non-profit social activities.
The firm works with PAX ROMANA, an accredited NGO working in the United Nations and Social Council in Geneva through its two international branches, the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) and the International Movement for Intellectual and Legal Professionals ( ICMICA).
The United Nations is an organization of sovereign states. The states voluntarily join the United Nations to work together for world peace, promoting friendship among all nations and support economic and social progress. The Organization was officially born on October 24, 1945.
One of the most important roles of PAX ROMANA at the UN, is the direction of Law Internship Program [DPP], which is co-sponsored by St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida. These law students have the opportunity to cooperate for a full semester with the diplomatic missions of UN Member States, NGOs defending human rights and Intergovernmental Economic Institutions.
