As its name suggests, civil law is that legal area that regulates the civil relations among people living in society. In other words, it regulates any type of relationship between two people, whether at the sentimental or contractual level.
Family Law
More specifically, family law regulates relationships within a family. And it does so at all levels: at the level of rights as well as at the level of properties and inheritance.
